If you are looking for friendly staff,
delicious food at decent prices and excellent diving in
absolutely gorgeous surroundings, this is it!
My husband and I came here for three nights as a part of our
honeymoon, but we would have stayed longer ,if we had had more
time. The resort is located near Concepción on Busuanga Island,
about an hour and a half from the airport. The road is currently
being improved, so the trip will only take shorter in the
future. The resort is placed on a hill side in a bay, consisting
of beautiful white cottages. We stayed in one of the suite
cottages, which is actually two connected cottages, one section
with the bedroom, and one bathroom section. Right outside the
cottage is an extra pavillion, where you can relax and read a
book while gazing out over the beautiful bay.
There is no beach or pool, but to make up for this you have some
of the best diving and snorkling nearby. We visited white sand
beaches, snorkeled in coral gardens and on a shallow wreck of a
gunboat. Wreck diving on the WW2 wrecks was world class. The
people at the resort are very helpful in putting together half
our full day trips to see all the underwater wonders, and to
make recommendations. We were one snorkeller and one diver, and
we both had an excellent time. Only sorry that we didn't have
enough time to do some kayaking too.
Absolute recommended! :-)
For the divers.... Equipment: the BCDs are Aquamundo. it is
possible to hire twin tank sets with air or nitrox, HID torches
and even rebreathers.
